Our professional staff includes 3 physicians and 4 nurse practitioners, and 1 physician assistant. All of our physicians have completed specialized training in managing the health needs of women and are practicing their specialty together as a group to give you the best possible medical care. This web site will help introduce you to Tifton Woman’s Center, P.C., and will facilitate your interactions with our doctors and office staff.
We are dedicated to serving all women: Our goal is to provide you with the latest in obstetric and gynecological care that is sensitive to your unique needs. We strive to educate you about your individual health care needs, and encourage you to actively participate in your health care management. We have advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of women’s health issues, and our credentials are always available for your review.
Nathan Mordel, M.D.Nathan Mordel, M.D. received his medical training at Hadassah Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, graduating with a degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After coming to the United States, he completed a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics and a fellowship in advanced pelvic surgery at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University Medical School and Medical College of Georgia. He was recognized by the 2009-10 Emory Medical Students for providing outstanding learning experiences. He is an Active Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Mordel specializes in advanced Robotic, Laparoscopic and Pelvic surgery, including for fibroids, endometriosis, heavy and/or painful menstrual periods, pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. He has performed over 1500 Robotic and Laparoscopic Hysterectomies and Myomectomies for uteri up to 4000 grams (9 pounds), 500 Robotic and Laparoscopic Sacrocolpopexy procedures. His conversion rate is less than 0.2%. Dr. Mordel has been practicing in Tifton, Georgia, since 1998. In 2002, he started Atlanta Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Center – AMIGS (www.amigsurgery.com), and joined the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital staff. In 2011 he added Gwinnett Medical Center Duluth to his practice sites. Dr. Mordel serves as Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Tift Regional Medical Center – TRMC, Associate Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Gwinnett Medical Center – GMC and Gynecology Member of Robotic Committee at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital – PAH. Dr.Mordel performs Advanced Robotic Gynecological Surgery at these three hospitals – TRMC, GMC and PAH. Dr. Mordel is married with two sons. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, Lithuanian, and Russian. His personal interests include wildlife, geography, history, spending time with family. |
Bridgett Asbury, M.D.Bridgett Asbury, M.D. grew up in a small town in East Tennessee. She knew medicine was her calling from a very early age. Dr. Asbury is grateful to be part of such a wonderful community as Tifton. She volunteers services at the Pregnancy Crisis Center in Tifton and had the opportunity to be on the founding board of the Lifehouse Maternity home started in Tifton. She is a member of Northside Baptist Church and enjoys walking and reading and spending time with her family. She feels that God has blessed her with the privilege of being a doctor and especially to care for women. She views the women she is given the opportunity to care for as she would her daughter, sister, mother or grandmother and wants the very best care for each patient always. |
Sandra G. Brickman, M.D.Sandra G. Brickman, M.D. is a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology doctor providing care to her female patients in Tifton, Georgia since 2000. Dr. Brickman completed her Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington and fulfilled her dream of being accepted into medical school. Dr. Brickman completed her Doctor of Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1996. She achieved academic distinction during her time as a medical student resulting in her induction into the prestigious National Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and receiving the American Medical Women’s Association’s Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for Scholastic Excellence. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Brickman completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia where she was elected Chief Administrative Resident in 1999. She became Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2003. Dr. Brickman’s passion is Tifton Woman’s Center with satellite offices in Nashville and Sylvester, Georgia. She joined this private practice group shortly after completing her residency in 2000. She is on the medical staff at Tift Regional Medical Center. Dr. Brickman has also served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics for the Medical College of Georgia, where she helped educate the next generation of medical doctors. She has been involved in leadership roles at Tift Regional Medical Center including being selected to become Vice Chairman and Chairman of the OB/GYN Department and Secretary of the medical staff. An esteemed professional, Dr. Brickman is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, Society for Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the American Medical Association. She was inducted as a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2003. Along with her service in the medical community Dr. Brickman enjoys spending time with her family, especially young son, traveling and exercising in her spare time. Dr. Brickman specializes in the management of high-risk pregnancy, infertility, laparoscopic surgery and hormone replacement therapy. Her practice involves routine and high risk obstetrics, routine office gynecology, minimally invasive in-office gynecologic procedures, minimally invasive major and minor gynecologic surgeries, initial fertility evaluation and treatment, and early stage gynecologic cancer surgery. |
Amy Maves, PA-CAmy Maves, PA-C graduated in 1994 from Medical College of Georgia with a degree in Physician Assistant. She worked one year in general medicine in Hardwick, Georgia and worked 18 years in gynecology in Americus, Georgia with Americus Gynecology and Obstetrics. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants from 1994- present Amy joined Tifton Woman’s Center in 2013 to continue practicing gynecology. Her areas of interest include well woman care, teen and young adult health, birth control needs, chronic migraines, and helping females with eating disorders get into the appropriate treatment program. Amy is married and has two teenage daughters. She spends her time out of the office homeschooling her children and working with the children and youth at New Life Presbyterian. |
Michelle Pierce, FNP-CMichelle Pierce, FNP-C graduated Middle Georgia College 1986 with Associate in Science, Albany State College in 1988 with Bachelor of Science and Nursing, and Albany State University in 1996 with Master of Science and Nursing specialty as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She was credentialed in 1997 with dual certification-American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society 1996. Michelle has many years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Oncology, Emergency Room, and Home Health and even more as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice. She has been employed at Tifton Woman’s Center since 2009 with a specialty in Nexplanon, Family Planning, Wellness Exams, General Obstetrics, as well as multiple in-office surgical procedures. |
Dina Herren, NP-CDina Herren, NP-C, graduated from University of North Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Walden University in 2014 with a Master of Science and specialty with Family Nurse Practitioner. Dina became credentialed and a member in 2015 with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She was inducted in Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society in 2000. She obtained her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) October 2015. Dina worked for 15 years as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery, and Perinatal Home Health. She worked for 6 years as the Women and Children’s Nurse Educator at Tift Regional Medical Center. In addition, she is an ACLS, ACLS-OB, BLS, NRP, PALS, and S.T.A.B.L.E instructor. She has strong interest in CenteringPregnancy. Dina in an active board member of the Georgia Perinatal Association (GPA) and was chosen as president-elect in 2014 and will be present from 2016-2018. Also, she is a member of the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia (UAP RN of GA).
